That's my biggest concern currently. The gland is still pink and has blood supply, so right now it's just about keeping it clean and stopping it from drying out until she goes in tomorrow.That's so sad. Yeah I keep a lot of med stuff on hand too but this is way beyond me. If she hasn't an oil gland now she will not be able to keep her feathers oiled which means she will probably need a lot of help getting dry and fluffed after swimming. To keep her from getting wet feather.
God only knows how long she was sitting like this. Probably most of the morning/afternoon from the fly eggs.
Hopefully I'll have good news from the vet tomorrow!
