Little Giant 9200 Still Air Incubator - humidity

@Rainier Aww I hope they're ok! I'm worrying about mine. I know I have 2 that are still going but I'm worried they won't make it. I don't know why but if my others are quitters, why should these 2 be any different. The waiting is killing me lol. They are supposed to hatch 4 days before my brother leaves for 10 days and then again for 6 months after that, so I'll have to take care of over 30 chickens by my lonesome. lol. Work, work, work but it's all worth it for all my funny birds! What day are you on?

ack 30 chickens by yourself, that is just crazy!

When is your hatch date? Lock down for me is either the 23rd or 24th.

My hatch date is Sept. 25th. We put them in late in the day last Wednesday so give or take a day. We're selling some chickens but we're going to buy different ones anyway lol. Our limit started at 16 chickens and now its 30 but we're going to go over that when these hatch anyway. My brothers leaving on the 28th and my only other help is leaving on Oct. 7th. My brothers only going to be gone for 10 days but if that goes well then I'll be by myself for 6 months with 30+ chickens.

We have 3 eggs going strong! I candled them only because 1 of our bantam Barred Rock hens laid her first egg today. Well, her first egg on my property. Since she has been mated by our bantam BR rooster, we were going stick it in the bator. But she was still making a nest to lay the egg in even after it was laid. We thought she might be going broody so we candled our "quitter" to see if it was actually dead. We were going to stick that underneath her to see if she wanted to sit on them. But anyway, after we removed the egg from the nest box, she hopped out a few minutes later. But since I candled the one egg, I thought, why not just candle them all real fast? So I did and found another quitter, looking like a day 2 and the other quitter a day 2 or 3. But we have 3 that are now on day 8 and getting big! Hope, hope, hope they make it 1 week and 6 days more!

I'm sitting on my hands to not candle again until day 10! It's killing me not being to see if anything has changed in the eggs since they got so cold but then yesterday they got up to 104

If any of these eggs continue to develop it will be a miracle!

I won't candle again until 17, right before lockdown. I hate not being able to know what's going on in there! I f I were you I would end up candling them anyway. With my first try to hatch some, I didn't know it was bad to candle them a lot. I candled every single day. OOPS! But they were all dead before I got my candler any way so I guess it didn't matter lol.
