little giant 9300

@TheGeekySheep That's cool, happy to hear you got the one you wanted! It will be neat to see how it works! I've been debating about putting mine on Craig's List. I would like to hatch more shipped eggs though and I'm not sure how that would work with a broody hen but I think I might give it a go with the Silkies next spring.

Giving the LG 9300 one more go, have it setup now and I'm trying to get it stabilized and will be setting shipped eggs Tuesday. Trying to find a good spot to tape/weight down the probe on the turner.

So glad I found this thread. I'm on day 8 with the Little Giant 9300. I wasn't aware of the built in thermometer being 4 degrees off though. Mine was about 2 degrees off, so I set it to maintain 101.6. I hope that will be ok. So far I have 15/21 that are developing normally, 2 of those being a double yolk. I have had 6 clears. It appears that my Japanese Bantam rooster isn't doing his job.

But, my Rhode Island Red rooster is the man!!

hi and welcome...keep us posted...i plan to start mine back up for the new years hatch a-long

Bgirl: thats a bummer. I think a major flaw with these bators is that little clear plastic temp/humidity sensor. If it moves an inch; the temp fluctuates alot. If u open the lid, the sensor never ends up in the same spot. Its a major flaw in the design imo. For my next hatch; i plan to install a small computer fan and try to figure out a way to keep the sensor from moving.
Please let me know if/how you have any luck with keeping the sensor immobile. It drives me crazy!!
