little giant 9300

Sorry Bamadude about the hatch. I got brave again the kids and I want Christmas chicks and a couple of ladies in my group do too. These are shipped from Florida to Oregon again. 26 Silkie eggs, I'm not setting any directly under the element/fan. Had it running the last two days just moving the probe and thermometers around until I found a good spot for the probe.

I ran a thread under probe wire and between the staples and plastic sheet. Put the thread through a small hole on lid and tied it to a bead, so I can adjust height of the sensor wire. I can take the lid off and the probe wire dangles from the lid and goes back to same place when I put the lid back on. Calibrating temperature tonight so I can set the eggs tomorrow.

I had the incubator running a constant 99.5 F for two days straight added 26 eggs and after 24 hours seem to have it leveled out again. Looking back on my failed attempts I'm trying to keep the heat in check and have changed the placement of eggs around heater. It's off centered which even with a fan produces heat distributions that are 4*F +\- across the incubator. The eggs that hatched last time were furthest away from the element, and where I had another digital thermometer to calibrate with they were also early day 19. I'm trying to err on the cool side and avoid temperature spikes.

Hi every I'm new to BYC and I am also hatching some eggs on the 9300. I'm new to hatching eggs so I hope everything goes well. Good luck only1bgirl!

It still bobbled around with the turner on so I resorted to taping it with a loop to the turner amongst the eggs, I still have to adjust it as the turner wiggles it loose after a day or so. When I pull that turner I'm going to tape the probe to a golf ball. I sneaked a quick candling in and all the eggs I checked had signs of growth.
Welcome @denisecuellar and good luck with your hatch!
