my better half made fun of my stupidity lol... anyway we are off to get the "new batch" wish me luck.

Thank you. We are having troubles with the heat. It is set on the unit at 106f and the hygrometer inside was last reading 100f while the other is reading 99f. Beginning to think maybe I should have researched into this hobby more. Lol

You should sell this 9300 on craigslist. I paid $135 for a GQF hova bator 1588. It works great. The little giant incubators almost ruined
my hobby too. Those incubators are terrible

This is day 19 and we have our first hatched chick. Hope to have many more.

I do have a question about the chick/egg. It appears to be attached to the egg shell by tissue. Do I leave it attached or help detach them?

Leave it alone. It is most likely the yolk sack.

yup left it and when it dried it seperated by itself.

now the sad news the second one that started to hatch stopped all signs of movement.
it pipped and later broke a little more of the hole away then stopped completely.
i let it stay for a few hours thinking it would regain strength and finally brake free but it did'nt.
i took it out to help and when i finally got it free it appeared to have suffocated.
was a beautiful yellow shade, so sad to have lost it.

What is your humidity?

not sure at this point. better half thinks between high 50's and mid 60's.
put in a sponge just a few moments ago and it started climbing up again.
was mid 80's nor low 90's.

That's the hovabator I'd like to get. I use an lg 9200 and have great hatches, but it's a lot of work-lot of babysitting.
