Today is hatch day for you, correct? If so, just give your eggs some time. 21 days is just a guideline, it can take longer (or shorter) than that depending on your incubator conditions.

Here's a quick pic of most of my nuggets, the incubator babies. They've been moved to the big brooder and still only use about as much space as the Rubbermaid tote they started out in

I still have more in the coop, under broodies. And, I think my final count is more like 50-something or 60. Not super great considering I started with something like 110 eggs or whatever it was. I have been having some fertility issues in one of my Silkie coops, and tossed like more than 2 dozen eggs when I did my first candling though. Still, I'm quite happy. I'm cleaning the hatcher and getting ready to pop more Silkie/Sizzle eggs in!

Yes correct. I thought egg #8 had what looks like an external pip even before the other egg pipped zipped and egg-scaped. lol
I was showing my son the eggs and he said mom this egg has a hole in it. So egg #7 is pipping also. I am so happy. I hope for a good hatch. But, would have been happy with one. :)

But you can't count clears. I don't think it's fair when a person counts clears (unless they are doing fertility rates.) Incubation rates to me, are about our abilities and egg quality. We have no control of fertility. (In regards to incubation). I use two rates. Overall rate of fertile eggs/eggs hatched and lockdown #/hatched. The lockdown/hatchers is the one that's most important to me, because I actually count on the ones that make it to lockdown to actually hatch. I don't count on anything until lockdown...lol

There is 6 eggs in there. Well one chick and 5 eggs left.
lol. You'll see more.

You'd have been happy about the one, but you still would be dissapopinted that more didn't hatch. I know. I've been there.

I know you're right. I am still wondering how I tell if something is wrong or not? Can anyone give a little insight on how to tell if the chick has spradle leg? Or how I can tell if something is wrong? The reason I ask is because I am just watching the first chick hatch trying to move around the incubator and it seems wrong. But, maybe because it's new?
I have rubber liner in there and maybe that is it? I don't know maybe I am being over protective mama. You know in my other post I said I worry..... lol

And what temp should this incubator be at?

I leave my incubator at regular incubation temp for hatch, some people lower it a degree. For the first couple hours or so, they seem like something is wrong. They don't stand up on their legs, they do more squatting and moving, (at least mine do). Spraddle leg is kind of like the splits. Here is a link to chicken chick's blog on spraddle leg and curled toes, just so you know what it is: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/02/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it.html Give the little guy a few hours, and I am betting he'll be all over the place and you'll feel better.

Ok good at first I thought something was wrong. But, that's about right. I would liken it to squatting. It has been flucuating in there between 98.8 and 100.4. I am worried about the fluctuations and that the rest might not hatch because of it. I also don't want to cook my newly hatched chick either. That would be horrific.

Mine did the same if it makes you feel better. When the humidity would go down a little, the temp would go up. When I saw it at 100 I would pull out my sponge and wet it. It usually went back down, (because I don't warm my water, it's room temp.)
