Hi EvyCrystal,
Can you please send me the photo of opened wing of your peachick, this help me find the date of birth of your peachick, by growth of primary flight feathers, and size of feathers. Would be good idea to put the ruler near your peachick's wing, so I will pinpoint the date of birth.
A newly hatched peafowl have juvenile flight feathers @ less than 50 mm. Also I'd like a photo of your peachick today, please.
If it is male, its throat & chin will stay creamy white until 15 months old when become mottled with blue feathers.
At 19 months old the male peafowl's throat & chin are entirely blue.
Your peachick is growing fast and at 2 months old, it will be duck-sized, and reach fully size at 1-year-old, but smaller than adult peafowls.
Your peachick appreciate insects to eat, for growth and bones.
Peafowls are wonderful interesting huge birds, with colourful train (tail feathers)...remember wee brown chick can grow into huge colourful peafowls and one bird can change colours.
I am working on moults of peafowls.
Clinton.
