Live harvesting down

I was wondering if anyone has tried harvesting duck down during the spring molt? I've tried reading up on it but I found very few and old articles about it, and most only mentioned ducks and mainly pertained to geese. How much comes from one duck, and also I did see something that you can do it from time to time throughout the summer while the weather is still warm. Anyone who has tried it let me know, I didn't get ducks for this purpose, but I would like to try it if it is possible.
And one more thing anyone trying to say it is cruel, I would not be plucking them bald, just collecting the feathers they would already be shedding.

Similar thoughts came to my mind when my Duckies molted into their real grown-up feathers in fall. There was down everywhere! But then came a windy day and blew it all away…

August I took my ducks to my parents house for my son's birthday. They started to molt the 2nd day there and feathers were everywhere. My stepmom joked about collectng them for a pillow. I only have 2 right now. I could easily see, collecting from 10 ducks could give you some nice pillow fluff for a few pillows.
I'm no expert though.
