Live Webcam! 6/7 hatched, camera on brooder now

Not me! I am so exhausted. I did a grueling weights session this morning, and then this evening, we moved solid wood beds around- we designed/made our son a loft bed. So, we had to take his old bed (solid maple) out of his room, bring it into our other kids' room, where we lifted it up to make it be the top bunk of the bunk beds. Hauled mattresses all over the house. Carried parts of the loft bed around (we built/assembled/finished it at FIL's workshop, so we had to carry it out to the truck, drive it home, and then bring it in here) and then put it together. Dh had foot surgery last week, and is supposed to take it really easy, so I did most of the heavy lifting.

I don't know if I'll be able to move my arms tomorrow.

Holy Cow! Now I'M tired just from reading all that. maybe by morning you'll have at least one little peeper to help you feel better. As long as you're strong enough to lift the chick into the brooder, I give you permission to be lazy for the rest of the day. You're welcome.

I snuck out of bed to go check on the chick, and it's not out yet. I can still see it moving around in there, and it chirps a little.

Pip #2 is marginally bigger. I think once the first one comes out, things will move a little quicker.

Yeah, I think it pipped about 12 hours ago. I can still hear it chirp in there occasionally, and I still see it moving around.

STILL hasn't hatched.

The one with the bigger hole pipped somewhere around 15 hours ago. I can still see it moving around and hear it chirping.

The other one has worked its' hole a little bigger, and I see its' beak poking out.

No pips from the other 5 yet, though I heard chirping from another one, but it's been about 24 hours since then.
