Living life on the edge (of the incubator) hatch-a-long

Haha, solid advice there! Those call ducks are stinking cute. Not ducks, but I quite like Sebastopol geese too 🤩
Did someone say call ducks?

Oh my goodness! Where do I get these and how do I take care of them!?!?!?!:celebrate
Steps for Buying and Taking Care of Ducks: The Official Guide
1. Flood your entire yard. All of it. It'll end up that way regardless, you're just helping your ducks out a bit.
2. Buy stock in the pea farming industry. You wouldn't want to run out of their favourite snack, would you?
3. Duck time!!

Oh wow! So easy too!

Hubby has always talked about wanting to dig a pond out, but then we got a horse and turned it into a little pasture. Maybe the horse would enjoy a dip in the summer?

Honestly, I just use a kids' swimming pool. Good enough for a small flock!

If you live somewhere warm, I can't recommend ducks enough.
If you live somewhere cold, I can't recommend ducks enough IF you're really into being miserable all winter. :p

Define warm. Today we had the coldest day of the year so far, average day temperature of 4°C, and very windy. Going out in that cold today felt like crap. It'll drop to 2°C this week during the night for sure. Although geese interest me more than ducks right now, but I still love chickens way more than the others

Even easier!

Wow, how have I gone so long without them!

They had duckies on sale at TSC for $1 last year, I don't remember the breed, but it was sure tempting to get them!

Well now, if you, TwoCrows, and ElfenLied89 help take some of these 96 eggies and the 6 Wilkies out of my coop, maybe I'll have space for ducks!

(Wilkies are white silkies, so named in the last hatch-a-long 🤣)

Brr! Stay warm! We had a cold snap 2 weeks ago, last week went from freezing to 74 deg F, this week is moderate for winter but we're getting cold again later this week with more snow in the forecast.
