Living with TMD or TMJ

I can always tell when I'm stressed because my TMJ gets worse from grinding my teeth in my sleep. I've had it for years. My chiropractor heard my jaw popping one day when I was getting my back adjusted and offered to fix it for me, and can I say WOW. Not all chiropractors adjust jaws, so you may have to ask around.

An adjustment lasts about a year or so. As soon as it's adjusted your jaw stops popping and hurting. I'm not one of those die-hard, go to the chiropractor once a month people, but I do go every year or so and it does make a big difference. I would not have surgery on my jaw - I've known too many people that didn't have good experiences with it.

QH: That's really interesting to hear. I might have to look into that, because that would be awesome to no longer have a "boa constrictor trying to eat a deer jaw". XD

I have TMD I go to the MAyo Clinic in MN. They helped me . I have to go back because the pain is back with the monster headaches. They helped me before hope they can fix me again. Also my sister paid for me to see a holistc Dr. she is sending me a remedy if it works I will be very pleased. The pain of TMD and TMJ is horrible .Anyone with TMD does your pain cycle. For several months pain free then bang the pain is back. I have found that with mine.
