I like to believe that the people who do this are just ignorant...not that they are intentionally setting out to ruin someone else's flock. Some people just think that a healthy dose of antibiotics will cure the illness and then there is no harm done. I have to think this way or, it would drive me crazy. I have heard that so many times even on this forum...people think that since their flocks are no longer symptomatic, it is okay to sell. They just do not understand the carrier situation. I've read it about ILT, Coryza, MG, Marek's...the list could go on and on.I just can't believe someone would wish this on anyone. He even sold sick birds to a 14 year old kid and infected that young man's flock.
She is going to be calling the DOA today and I will let you know if she hears anything. It's just so frustrating. Especially since she is working on a breed that is so rare and important to us Canadians.
