Congratulations Stormy in Alvarado! Nice video! What kind of chicks are these?
Mine have all hatched that are going to. There were 5-6 that didn't look good when I put them in lockdown and 4 didn't make it. 3 never pipped and the other pipped, zipped halfway and died. So sad to lose them like that.

I didn't candle before putting them into lock down so I don't know what all I will get we have 10 more pipping & Zipping but there are 42 eggs in there total.
I imagine this could go on all day I still have until tomorrow for all to hatch out.

So far 2 are out I do worry about them a little cause they are panting they appear to be hot and they keep laying all over the eggs lol and or tripping over them.
The second one hatched when I gave up at 3 am and went to sleep, now I am awake again cause they were fussing. I got up to check the temps and humidity and everything is still running to plan.

I locked down on Tuesday morning, and now i have 2 pips! It is day 20 for me I have 19 eggs--I wasn't sure about 3-4 of them since they are marans and wellie eggs and so dark, i couldn't see well when I candled them, but I am EGGSITED!

How exciting for you all! I go into lockdown on Saturday the 19th and hatch day should be the 22nd. I am so nervous and excited all at once. this is my first hatch and my daughter wanted to do this for her Science project for school. We got some store bought 'fertile' eggs that a friend mailed to me. 1 dozen of them and I put 13 of my hens eggs in so a total of 25. Well sad to say that all of the 'fertile' eggs didn't develop. The air cells were messed up and of course I wan't able to tell until they had been in for the 2 week mark. I just removed all of them. I had 2 of mine that weren't fertile and took those out. I have 8 positive viable eggs of mine. 1 I think is a quitter but waiting til Saturday to be 100% sure. And 2 I can't tell from the shell being dark and I can't see inside.

I am hoping all of your eggs hatch for you all.

These are the 4 out I took them out cause they was panting. They was hot in there with all those eggs we did a quick wet rag and swap out.

2 chicks just hatched in the bator so 6 out total and tons of pips still going.
