Lockdown! Cross your fingers...Newest pictures, page 18

Today it day 17 for me too. Set on the 1st as well. I just keep staring through the windows at them, hoping they will move. I tried candling, but really couldn't see very well. So hopefully one will hatch. DD3 is doing it with me and according to the calandar we made, she knows something is going to happen today or tomorrow. I need at least one. I actually had a dream last night they hatched and got up at 330 to check nothing. This is horrible. I don't know how long I can take it. Good luck to you. Let us know when they arrive!

EXACTLY true...

After I posted, I was telling DD3 that I want them to hatch, that I can't wait. Say said in her very adult voice "Well mommy you just have to be patient."

I guess she's right. But how funny that she is telling me that.

We have two pips! Not even a full hole in the shell yet -- just the little tenting outwards that they make first.

Go babies!

Make that three. There is a hairline little pip in a third one. Couldn't see it til I looked really closely!

I have banned the cats & dog from this room for the day & have turned the heat in this room up (it has a separate heater / a.c.) so that when it comes time to remove little babies from the incubator later today they will not get chilled. I have my plastic file box lined with towels and waiting for that. I actually put the lid on them while transporting to the basement. That way they won't get cold as we go through the unheated garage. Brrrr.

Four little inner pips - no one is through the shell yet. I could hear one of them chirruping to the others, though, just for a minute. The Brinsea fan is noisy, so it's hard to hear them.

I hope the humidity doesn't get too high when I have to quit watching for a few hours. It can really ZOOM up in this incubator FAST. One or two eggs hatching at the same time can raise it 10%. Not sure what 10 at the same time will do! It might rain in there.

I'm up to edited -- I think it's six, not seven. Looks like I counted one twice -- little pips now, but NO ONE has knocked a hole out of the shell yet.

GO BABIES GO!!!!!!

They needed to do this a few hours ago. They are going to hatch while I'm gone. All of them. They are going to be kind of crowded in the little Brinsea Mini by the time I get back to them. I hope the first ones don't crush the later ones.
