Dont candle them. I did that to the first batch this year. it was a 0 hatch but all were fertile. Second batch I left alone got 6 out of 12 from shipped eggs, This time around I had 26 eggs, now i have 25 in lock down cause early bird couldn't wait.
My husband took a pic I don't know if i should share of early bird hiding in my bra.

Hiya, My little darlings are due this afternoon!!! 15+ Assorted Polish Eggs that we won on Ebay..My very first try with shipped eggs AND the first time buying an Ebay auction!. The person who shipped them was extremely careful with the wrappings, and 24 perfectly intact and spotless eggs went into the incubator after a day of rest (I, personally was extremely impressed with the quality of the eggs, and the care and concern expressed through the perfection of the packaging of these shipped eggs, not a smudge or a crack to be found on any AND the generosity of the included extras was so nice

First candling revealed a 100 percent fertility, 2nd candling revealed one quitter. Last candling at lock down there were 2 more that look suspicious for being quitters, So 21 perfectly candled wiggly chicks-in-eggs locked down (These chicks were the most active in the shell I have ever seen, literally "hoppin'"). ~Still more than the 15+ that I paid for and was expecting

I cannot wait until I get to see their adorable little faces, and of course their sweet little hair-dos! These will be my first Polish as well, I am super excited! I will post some pics as soon as my peeps show their faces!

P.S. I also left the 2 suspicious eggs in the group that locked down, there was no death ring or any definitive proof they had died, they simply were not "hopping" like the others, and the veins were not as visible to me. So my total of locked down eggs was 23. Just the expectation for those 2 to actually hatch is not very high, and 21 are definitely alive at the time i put the lid on the incubator.

Chickchaser You have a great % on the shipped. Sounds like they are all ready too to come out.I have my first hatch and the eggs were shipped They looked really good day 9 only 4 of 11 werent fertile or started whatever (
clear) and 2 a little iffy on blood ring or vein as they are brown.Rest looked exactly like the photos. Day 18 they dont look like they have grown at all to me from then but i locked them all down in case. Te seller thinks i might get some still to keep hoping... Gosh i DO hope. GOOD LUCK!

Oh you guys that have them hatching are so lucky. I feel bad for my single little chick. My eggs are just on day 19 now. I keep hoping another will hatch soon to give it a buddy to be with. also worried about it accepting other chicks by the time they hatch. I mean it will be a bit bigger then them and use to being alone.
