Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

A new visitor to the kingdom -

This little guy's mother was hit and killed by a car. A friend of the neighboring giants is taking care of him until he is weaned, then he will go to a farm and live with others of his kind. In the meantime, Queen Frack kindly allowed him to share her favorite laying spot.

So cute!! We had an injured fawn as well on our farm a few years ago. We named him Peanut. We just wrapped him in a towl to warm him up a little, but we called a wild animal rescue centre and they took him in to take care of his wounds. We woke up to a high pitched squeal, and when we looked outside, the poor thing was caught in the fence that separates our garden from the veld beyond which we call 'the wild'. He has since been released back into his natural habitat, and once we even thought we saw him again in 'the wild'. But they all look quite alike, so we don't know for sure. I like to think it was him, and he visited us again to say 'thank you'.

As promised, the story of little Orphan (sort of) Annie.

Little Annie was born one night, one of three siblings. Two of her siblings were golden yellow.

Annie herself was darker, but just as cute as her sibs.

Lady Cagney, was not a very experienced mother and one day soon after birth, a dragon swooped from the sky and carried away one of Annie's siblings. The next day, that same dragon came back and took the other golden child.

At this point, Annie was the lone survivor and so the neighboring giants took her and placed her with some other children who had no parents. The dragon has been vanquished and Annie has a new family. Annie is top right, seen with her new sisters and brothers, living safely in their nursery.
