Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Near catastrophe at Brahmalot today. After 2-1/2 weeks of daily rain and local flooding and flood warnings, the trees in Brahmalot are coming down. This is the second (and biggest) falling tree in the last two weeks. The first tree was near Brahmalot and did no damage. This tree just barely kissed the neighboring giants' house, but fell right in the middle of the land of Brahmalot. So far one citizen was found dead. Hopefully everyone else was able to run for cover. As the giants start to clean up tomorrow, it will become more clear if anyone else was killed. All the permanent citizens of Brahmalot seem to be okay, but there are many and some may have been missed in the rush to find everyone tonight. This scribe has all fingers crossed for a good outcome tomorrow in the light of day.

This tree is massive and was rooted at the very back of the yard. It fell the length of the yard and landed with its tip branches about 10 inches from the back of the house. A branch from another tree was sheered off and hit the back corner of the house, but not with enough power to do much damage.

The kingdom starts the process of cleaning up after one tree fell in the kingdom, breaking another tree in the process that also had to be taken down. It took most of the kingdom's gold to have professionals do the hard work of felling one tree and then cutting them both up into manageable (almost) logs.

After the strangers left, the kingdom gathered for clean-up duty.

Even the youngsters pitched in to help!

The good news is no one was injured during the fall or afterward!

OH DEAR NOT the kingdoms gold??? You need to send your subjects out to collect taxes to fill up the chests again ;)

SO GLAD to hear that no one was hurt. :jumpy

Can the king make a decree :old and send that rain to California? WE sure do need it here :fl

Clean-up is almost complete! Two trees equal a LOT of firewood. Now, the stacking begins.

This little prince inspects the wood to make sure it is split correctly.

The delegate from Poland and friends enjoy the mulch which was an added byproduct from the clean-up.
