To answer your question, fowl pox comes in two forms; wet and dry. Dry is when they have the raised welts around the head, wet form is when they get cheezy-like growths inside their mouth, in the ears and eyes, it can also travel down the throat and enter the lungs. It IS treatable, but I am finding in small chickens it is alot harder to treat and it takes them alot longer to recover.
Wet fowl pox is also called mouth canker and it is a virus.

Speckles, my rooster, crowed today in celebration of our RIR hen's first egg! (I think it was the RIR!) It was Speckles first crow!! Atcually, he crowed, like, 4 or 5 times!! Of course, this means we have to give him away. I am gonna cry like a baby when we have to.

I love him so much! Soon I'll post a pic of the egg!

These are Lady Red and Lady Big Red. They are King Samson's ancestors (great aunts), and their color is called red splash.
