Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

There is a special "ale" that is usually kept in the storage room for just such unwanted guests of the kingdom. It had run out recently, but now a new batch has been made and is available, without charge, for any more unwelcome customers. This method has kept unwanted visitors away for years with no untoward effects on the citizens of Brahmalot.

Meanwhile, little "Hoppy" is in the infirmary with her/his mother, Lady Hope. The poor little thing has two visible injuries to his thigh and is not putting any weight on that leg at all, but otherwise is eating and drinking well. The royal physician cannot feel any broken bones in the leg. He had a nice long soak in Betadine water this morning and will be closely watched for the next few days for signs of infection.

Little Hoppy and mom were very happy to be reunited this morning and the little one appears to be clever enough to stay away from Mom's big clumsy feet.

This neighboring giant/chief cook/maid/royal physician/scribe is hopeful for a full recovery.

Lets hope for a full recovery too!!!

JS, so sorry for the baby of Lady Hope, but "hope" the other one makes it through and I know she'll be a spoiled child. In all the sadness of the loss, one has to chuckle at the picture of those fierce teeth-bearing twin future guardians of Brahmalot!! That lightened up the tragedy a bit.

The Beasts of Brahmalot are becoming quite awesome! They are becoming quite used to the citizens of Brahmalot with a fence in between. Soon they will be formally introduced (on leash). They are becoming quite well behaved with a bit of maturity and lots of obedience classes.


Meanwhile, all is quiet at Brahmalot. Lady Hope's baby continues to recover, although "Little Hoppy" still limps quite a bit so is living in the nursery for his/her safety.


Queen Mother Chrissie has completely healed from her trauma and has parted ways with her foster children from the far-off land of Turkey. They are now bigger than she and are doing well. Lady Blackie once again has decided to have another family, so is "in waiting." Her children are due the second week of August.

Little Orphan Annie is growing up to be a beauty, as are her foster sisters and brothers. This scribe will take pictures today and post them soon.

The co-kings, Cody and Zeke, have accepted their responsibilities, although it appears King Cody is the main ruler and Zeke defers to him. The kingdom is running smoothly and everyone appears happy.
