OK finally remembered to take my camera out with me and the weather was nice enough to take pictures yesterday. Here is a picture of the roof side fore vnploveschickens:

In this picture you can see my rooster and a couple of the girls. It was so easy to set up the dog kennel panels. Eventually I will get more to expand their run some more. They have plenty of room for the eight of them but you know how the chicken math works and I will make the run bigger so I can have more!

Another picture of them in the run. So far they come out of the coop unless the weather is really terrible.

I got my second egg yesterday from the same girl. Another beautiful green egg. Hopefully now that one of them is laying we will start seeing more. Still not sure which of the girls is laying other than it is an Ameraucana.

Yes that is snow. We got our first winter storm earlier this week. Coming from southern AZ I don't really like the fact that winter is here at the end of October.

I am used to seeing snow only on the mountain tops for most of the "winter" and snow on the ground for a couple of hours once or twice during the winter months. It is going to take a while to get used to a real winter again. Yes I mean Knabstruppers. My avatar is my two year old filly. She is turning into a beautiful blue roan snow cap.

I bought her mom in foal with her. Her sire is one of the few approved Knabstrupper stallions in America right now. Love that girl!

Your filly is beautiful! I've only ever heard of the knabstruppers in my breed books. Wasn't aware they were still around, much less in the US-very cool! You should make a BYC page and show them off (or just post some pics in the forums--lots of horse loving folks here on BYC)

Well if the weather is as yucky as they say it is going to be this weekend (no snow thank goodness, just rain) I will have to see about figuring out how to make up my page. I don't need a lot of encouragement to talk about either my chickens or my horses!

Ive been quietly watching you build your coop... GREAT job!!!! You've made me think that maybe I could do it too! We shall see? lol I just had to add that I was born and raised in AZ, I moved when my hubby joined the Air Force. I REALLY REALLY miss those moutains! Cant tell you how much I have enjoyed the pictures, especially the outside pics. aahhhh home!
