Thanks, I read/have a "breeding and raising" rabbits book from
tsc, I just forgot how many days it was for that stuff and couldnt find the book on hand, also, im not very interested in showing rabbits just yet, planning to start with ducks and even there i have no idea how to go about it, right now im just breeding for pets, I have a few homes lined up for some, hoping sometime later to get a nice double maned white or black lionhead for my black single
Hopefully you have stories guidebook of the FFA one and not the rabbits for dummies. Seriously if you come across that one stay away from it. I would still strongly suggest that you look into showing. because there will come a point where you are going to deal with 4hers when breeding and selling pet rabbits. If they end up being sold something thats pet quality, with some disqualifications, like the bunny with the dutch markings, you may end up dealing with an upset kid and angry parents. That is not fun.
If you are looking for a double maned white, attending a rabbit show would be your best bet.
ok thanks, and yeah I understand that, the only reason I dont want to do showing right now is because I have 6 rabbits, (atleast 5 I know arent show rabbits) 1 white flimish giant(?) 1 white New zealand, 1 single maned orange/gray dwarf 1 brown(wild color) dwarf lop ear, 1 white with gray spots, and my black single maned mama, half of them came from an auction and were brought back to health, no idea what my white one with gray spots is, hes still in recovery, like for my black mama, shes huge and when I got her from the auction, I litterally held her the whole time we were there and she was just skin and bones to weak to move, she has the top part of one of her ears cut off from there. but yeah, dont want to show just yet, I have wayy to many rabbits right now to have more, and I cant begin to think about which id want to rehome, specially even though I want to keep skunk in the photo!
