You DON'T want to see a mountain lion up close. Of all the wildlife to see up close, a mountain lion should be the LAST. They WILL kill/eat you.

That said, you have a better chance of being killed by your neighbors dog (probably because there's a better chance at confrontation).

We see bobcats on this farm all the time, but no mountain lions.

They are wonderful to observe, from a distance.
My DH had a buzzard jettison its payload (aka puke) all over his patrol car one day. He was not amused.

Calling them buzzards is like calling turkeys "chickens".

They're vultures.

Hears a scary thought: A mountain lion probably wouldn't make any noise, but just lay there quietly and you'd never know you were thisclose to something deadly....

Buzzard babies! Who'da thunk? What a great picture, Im sure that picture will be streaking across the internet. We'll probably see it on snopes.com; someone will be sending it in mass emails proclaiming proof of Bigfoot...Baby Bigfeet, see, they live!!!

What a fabulous picture, Ive never ever seen babies like that.

They remind me of Halloween.

You had an Audubon moment! They sure are ugly little things-they must not know it or they wouldn't have made such a fuss. Wonder where mom was? I for one wouldn't have gone looking if I heard a noise like that! You're very brave.
