LOOK what I just got, for FREE!!!

Welll, we made it home a little while ago. Getting it onto the trailer wasn't that big of a deal, it was getting into and then out of the lady's back yard. The opening wasn't quite 9' wide and the trailer is 8' wide. It took some clever moving on my DH's part, but he did get it out and get it home in one piece. (Even though we could only do about 40 mph...lol)

The sad thing is that I have lost my newly aquired coop to my 4 yr. old little boy for a playhouse. He heard the gentleman that we got it from talking about it being a playhouse and that was all it took for him to "want" it for his playhouse.

I just cannot say not to those big blue eyes, asking if he could have it for a playhouse, "after all I have been wanting a new playhouse mommy....lol I know that he will outgrow in and then it will be mine again. It is very well made, so it should last that long, but then again I do have a little boy that will be "playing" in it...lol In the mean time, my DH and I will just have to build a new coop.

Dorothy, remember me saying that a neighbor had that same playhouse for her little girl who is now 19? After we moved to our present home, I decided to do something special for my daughter and build her a tree house!!

DW said, "Oh don't do that, she's too old!" DD was then 9 . . . I'd already bought most of the wood soooo I built a "bird house" for chickens and things

!

DD already had a playhouse we built in Grandpa's yard. Dad says he plans on using that next year for chickens. Dad will be 91 before Spring . . . he's old, it takes him awhile to make up his mind

. My daughter is 20, now

So, the way I figger it, you'll get that "playhouse" in about 6 or 7 years. Meantime, show up with some lumber and tell your hubby that you are goin' to build the kid a tree house!

You'll get that new coop.

Steve - Cute story. I know that I will get my new coop, it is just going to take me a little longer than I had planned...lol

Leah - Thanks. I know that my son will enjoy it for a few years and then I will get it back. They are only young once and I will enjoy watching him play in it every minute.

edited to add: I am luckier than I had even realized. I sent an email to the lady that I got this "playhouse" from and she said that she had 35 people respond and ask for it. I sure am glad that I happened to be online at that moment....lol
