Looking for camera for coop

I am too interested in some cameras for my coop. I live in the UK so any recommendations would be great.
I think watching the chickens whilst inside the coop would be my new hobby, ontop of watching them all day when at home 😂 #obsessed

I have an older Wyze that I loved. Cannot get it to hook up now so I just bought a Wyze Pan Cam. It uses WiFi but does need a plug in (I have an extension cord that reaches my coop) I am also about to order the Wyze Outdoor is wireless (battery operated I think). I looked at a ton of options because I thought I wanted a Blink or Ring but couldn’t make up my mind and I really like the live feeds not just the motion detector recordings.

Thanks, all. I'll look into the Wyze. I have no power source there so I'll need battery plus WiFi capable - hopefully they offer those features.
I bought but have NOT tried this as a power source,

Was going to try and hook up the solar power cell phone charger to the Wyze camera and see if it work. But just haven't decided to monkey with it. Someone might have tried this and can speak to its usefulness .

Ring can do live feed, I don't have a subscription to save recordings (and I have motion detection off) so I use it strictly as a live camera.

Wyze has live feeds and motion detection. You don't even have to pay for the Wyze Plus for recordings, just buy the $9.99 micro card and it will loop record things.

That's good to know! Thank you 👍

Yes thank you. :) I used the SD card with my old Wyze cam.I liked that alot! But I didn't realize they had motion detection also, Awesome!

We just got Wyze wireless outdoor cameras. We're planning to install in our run.

One concern we have is interference/bad reception with all of the hardware cloth. My husband had issues using his iPad in the enclosure when his parents asked to see chickens on Facetime. I know it wasn't a range issue because our garage door opener runs on WiFi and is further away. Has anyone had an issue like this?

Certainly weld mesh would affect a wifi signal - I guess it would create a Faraday cage.... I had to install an external wifi extender anyway as I didn't have any signal at all near my coop.

I guess you're either looking at a wifi extender or possibly external ariels on your cam - if they are the screw on type you may be able to get an extension lead to mount them outside the run.

You could download a free wifi signal strength app and just wander round until you find the best locations.

This is helpful. Thanks so much! I didn't even think of an exterior extender. Bonus is also better work from home options in the Spring and Summer. Zoom meetings from the garden!
