Hi guys,

I have a background in science, and I am working on a new document and would love some help from people in this group. The document is on chicken genetics - I need pictures of how different genes are expressed. (I realise that isnt too specific, but the topics I will cover depends on the photos I get... Details follow)

Some of the topics I would like to cover include genetic deformities, colours of chickens, and egg colours.

This document will be for educational purposes (e.g. Posting to some of my poultry groups). Not for profit. If you have any pics that might be useful, and that I have your permission to use for this reason, please post them here.

Very happy to reference you, your poultry business, or website etc if you would like me to do so. Please include this info with your pic ("Ref: ...").

I am looking for photos of every possible colour... common and unique, exhibition or backyard quality, every base and combination of genes, common and unique colours, day-olds chicks, tweens and mature birds. Also comb types, leg colours and egg colours, etc. looming for all the basics, as well as the more unusual

Please also include your country, the breed, colour name (if known) and geneotype or possible genotypes (if known). If you know the colour of their parents (or chicks), that would be great too (especially if you have no idea what I mean by ("genotype")). If you have a set pics of them as they grow up, that would be awesome too.

Yes - I realise there are about a billion possibilities, thats ok. The more information I can get, the better understanding I can get, and the better I can explain it to others.

Yes - I realise there are poultry websites and books dedicated to this. I would still like to put together my own version for people with a range of knowledge in the field of genetics (and as a reference guide for myself) - I find many people struggle to follow the most informative websites. I would like this document to be a source of science communication (i.e accessable to everyone) with input, experiments and experience from breeders across the globe.

Thank you in advance!
