Looking for pics of Blue Laced Barnevelders

Here are some better pics of the 5 babies. I'd love to hear guesses re: gender & color. They are 2.5 weeks old. I think I have 1 black color, 3 blue, and 1 splash. I also think I have 4/5 males.

Chick 1 (brown head/black band). Pictured with Chick 2/Brownie.
Name = Thunder, color guess = very dark blue or black, gender guess = male
Chick 2 (blue band)
Name = Brownie, color guess = black, gender guess = female

Here are my current 5 blue laced Barnie chicks. They’re 2 1/2 weeks. 1 is dark, I think black. 1 is very light, I thought splash but now question, and 3 had blue down at hatch so I think they’ll be blue even though they seem to have lost their blue feathers for the time being.

The light colored chick, named Pablo (that’s what you get when you let your middle school students name your chicks- actually I don’t mind it I think it’s a pretty cute name) is pictured here. I’m wondering if anyone thinks it’s splash or just very light blue. I’ve never had a splash bird, but thought they were white with spots of blue. This chick is more silvery-blue than white.

I’ll post all the chicks, soon, for gender guessing. Right now the pessimist in me sees 4 cockerels and 1 undecided.

I think it’ll be cool, too, to use this thread to share our blue Barnies so feel free to share pics or stories about your birds here.

At the moment I’m looking for a predecessor for Cloudy, my rooster, so I don’t hate the possibility of having a lot of cockerels in this clutch. I also have 1 egg under a broody to hatch 2/looking

Looking forward to see them grow out!

Here are some more current pics (but even these photos are 2+ weeks old!)

They are all male. Every one of them. I got 3 blue, 1 black, and then there’s Pablo who I am still undecided on his color.

I hatched a few more a few weeks ago and got 1 black, 3 blue, 1 splash (pretty sure b/c it’s white), and 1 that looks like Pablo. 3 girls and 2 boys (pretty sure). I’ll share more pics of them tonight.

Sunnie7 -- your hen is beautiful -- I love her colors! I think that blue and mahogany are my favorite color combo.

Fluster Cluck - I also like the base color of your birds. Is the patterning on them different/on different areas because they are male and/or not mature yet? I'm not well versed in male coloration/patterning. I love their little flecks of gold.
