a goose, loon or colt all fit in the larger sub-class of dux..

further a full blooded dux is so slimy we could not get a hand model to actually touch it..

So we used a sub..

Sometimes they need to be medicated.

In 12 years of chickens, I have never medicated anybody. I have only had one sick bird. I culled that bird.

I think some people get chickens so they can pretend to be doctors, good grief.

Clean water, good feed, adequate ventilation and shelter. They do not need oral medicine. What medicine would you give them? Dosage and reason?

I remember a post from you saying you couldn’t get your chickens to live longer than a few years and you saying you must be doing something wrong.
1 sick but how many have flat out died before you noticed it was sick?

I do agree about medicating birds though. You couldn’t pay me enough to take a bird from people who prop up weak, inbred and sickly birds constantly.
