Well.. if you have a 2 yr old child in your care.. you may need to call CPS and get some kind of emergency housing for the child....
What about a womans shelter? I know they arent the best places..but... if your gonna be out on the street....

Yeesh...that's a pill and a half to swallow! Have a MASSIVE yard sale! I did, and it bought me some time. I made $600 to catch up a house payment until I could figure out what next. I sold things I never thought I'd sell, but here we are a year later...still sittin in this house

We still have the anchor sitting out here beside the house too(the RV that almost sunk the boat). Do you actually want to keep/save the house? PM me, I still got a few tricks up my sleeve. Maybe I can help you think of a few ways to make some quick cash with local resources you wouldn't think about. YES it is 1000% legitimate. Completely legal, and so stinkin simple it's stupid

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that this is also happening to you. My Mom lost her house and filed for bankruptcy too. Her health is getting better now that she don't have the stress hanging over her head anymore. She is living in a 5th wheel trailer now and says she feels free. I hope something good happens for you (all of you) too.

There is this lady her name is "Irene-Maus:Gravenhorst" and she was going to lose her house so before they could take it away she sold it and there wasn't anything they could do about it. You should look her up on youtube. There are a few videos about her talking about and giving people tips on becoming "sovereign" or a "free man of the land". I'm really sorry about your situation. I sincerely hope everything works itself out for you.

Peace and Love.

I would grasp at whatever straws you have to in order to keep the house just a bit longer. Ask churches, government agencies. I know where I am the state offers assistance so kids don't have to face shelters or being placed. Take any help you can get and then get that bankruptcy. I know they make it sound bad but sometimes it can be a life saver.

We had too file and I have never regretted it. I hated it at the time but it was like the sun coming out again when it was over. I am sure everyone here will be praying that something happens to help you guys out.

There is a BIG deal hitting the financial news this past week, something about illegal reading of the documents during foreclosures, forged signature, people who supposedly "read" thousands of documents per month, some hundreds of pages each. HUGE deal. Not sure if this will apply in your case, but maybe your BK atty can glance at it and see if it applies in your case, toss you a bone (which you will have to buy, of course, at X$/hr.) Anyhow, read this story, It has already spread, now B of A, and a few others are putting screeching brakes on all foreclosures, and more banks are expected to follow. Hope it helps.

Edit to add, here's more stories about the same issue. Really, check into it and see if it applies to your case!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about your situation. The other BYCers in this thread really have some great suggestions, though--I hope you look into them and somehow find a way to hang on to your house! I'd scour the internet looking up ways to slow down or stop foreclosure, too, I know there are little tricks that will buy time and whatnot.

Hoping the best for you, I'll be sending good thoughts and hoping something works out for you.

Hang in there!

No matter what happens, hold your head high! Crap happens. Lately, it's been happening to lots and lots more people. I'm in the same boat. We have just filed Chapter 13. Were suppose to send in our first payment last week when I was having to go to all kinds of doctor appointments. $70 co-pay per specialist! Friday, I got the results of my tests. Cancer is back. This is what got us in this mess in the first place. Do you pay for chemo, food, truck or house payments? Even better, my husband just got laid off because his company has filed Chapter 11.

Have you contacted HUD? They really helped us out when we got behind when my husband was laid off the first time a few years back. Who is your lender? Wells Fargo is ours and they are impossible to work with. Keep calling your lender until you can find someone to help you.
