I had stupidly left my polish chicks with the big chickens when I was gone for a few hours, and when I came back my poor little silver laced polish, Kevin, was bleeding and ripped up. We buried him and I feel horrible. Luckily, the other 3 don't even look like they were touched. He was most likely a rooster and I believe that's why they chose to kill him. Otherwise, why would they have ignored the rest? I'm just sad because he was going to be the father of fun little polish mix chicks next year. At least now I have more room for integration ( @aart ). I will miss him. He was a spunky little chick with an attitude. But I've learned my lesson and hope this means the rest are girls.
