Is good to know that people take actions and base them is something other them their backyards losses. Because that ones have made many species to disappear.

In my comment I have never referred the word "coyote", specially when I said "they were there before you and please try to live peacefully with them" I was refering to the wildlife I pointed in the line before, so please apply what I said to everything (though I know this is a coyote thread).

Self confidence is a good thing, egocentrism gets more into the egoims side.

Think of it as a more altruistic approach to the problem. The fewer coyote there are the better for everyone. (well except for the coyote)

Definitely, those guys roam in packs for at least part of the year.

Gosh i thought we had a problem with foxes, it must be so hard keeping all the predators away in other countries, we only have to look out for a few even them are hard enough to keep at bay at times. I have a nabour who lost 120 hens in one night to a single fox, luckily it got what was coming the following night whilst returning for more. I'd be heartbroken if i lost my cockerel Rodney hes such a character and a winning show bird. I'l do anything to stop a fox from getting him.

Wow, nice catch!

Now is a good time to make sure your hens are nicely locked up at night to keep problems like this out of the way. For us, we have to keep an eye out for Coydogs during the winter (year round for most of the time, the winter though is when they like to roam in our front yard.) and let me say these guys are a pain in the behind (loud and noisy too.) We always find tracks right next to the fencing of our coop as though they are anticipating for a late night snack to come out and say "Yum yum" at them.

I've seen a coyote that had snatched my mother's cat... those things are over run everywhere and are more troublesome then deer. They are now going into major cities. *Shoot on sight*

That's off topic but I could not believe in what I read, so I'm going to let my point of view. When a person take violent actions toward other that may behave bad in his point of view, has a very high chance of being acting in a wrong way, and loosing in the process. Also, and MOST IMPORTANT don't forget that "preservation of wild life and wildlife conservation" also means, reduced GHG emissions, reduced nuclear pollution, etc., etc., because this ones may be uncontrolled/ignored by some and then the world effects make impossible for others thousands of miles aways to do "preservation of wild life and wildlife conservation", do you understand this?
I seriously cannot believe in what you written.

My conclusion:
Nowadays world leaders (politicians, etc.) may be corrupt, but thank God none one is stupid!

Dude, I understand where you're coming from. But you're talking to the wrong people here! We have so many laws and regulations regarding all types of pollution, including superfund monies for cleanup purposes ad infinitum. Our automobiles are loaded with emission control devices that the darn things cant barely run! Nuclear pollution? We have the safest in the world; the environment around our sites are always monitored and tested. I've been aboard nuke ships too...we wrote the book on safety and security. Better talk to the Russians on that one...Chernobyl comes to mind not to mention all their lost nuclear submarines. How about those who still hunt whales? You need to jump on their bandwagon. I do know this too...if a predator comes on my property after my investment (chickens), and all that I've put into them over the years, that predator will be swiftly dealt with my 12 gauge shotgun! More meat on the table for me.

I feel like that to, where I live is the same. My country may be small, but "we" have been in the leading in many times of world history in terms of legislation and things related to that. First country to abolish death penalty per example, but all this things that can be described in a positive way, can also be described in a negative way, like "hey over here we almost need to ask for permission to go to the bathroom" (I hear this s*** every time I'm at a public/state service). Anyway what I always try to do is a mental/reading exercise where I question/search the reason for something to be like it is, and most of the times I can find and understand it, this ends up making me feeling proud of my society.
OF COURSE many things are wrong, even today I made a legislative review proposal to my local agricultural department pending on one thing I think is unfair, so I do believe that we should not always conform ourselves with the current situation of the system because there will be always things to change.
But the problem is that people tend to be against every rule and don't even know why.

I was talking about nuclear bomb tests everywhere, and yes Russians have the "wrongest" attitude, but that don't make less wrong ones being right.

Don't you think wales are meat for their table to? I believe in sustainable hunt, so if a country have studies, and do the things right, you actually end up make the animal population you hunt healthier (selection, the "dumbest ones" end up being caught). But on that case you are right, most of the whale hunter like Chinese and many others are just a bunch of criminals. I thing Japan already have legislation for whale hunt, tough I'm not sure.
