Lost Scout

Draugnot was disappointed that Stone had moved at the last minute, causing his arrow to miss. His movements also spooked Bayardo again and he reared in surprise. The weakened reins finally snapped, freeing the frightened animal and he too bolted into the trees. Draugnot retrieved the two arrows and the one remaining blade as the other two were still embedded in Rosa's butt, and looked for a second target.

Strider's plan worked and Orkhan's blade sheared along his, eventually coming to rest in the tree. He jerked it once but found that it was stuck good and wouldn't be pulled out easily. Letting go of it, he reached towards his left hip and pulled out a second blade. Clearly, it wasn't his main weapon as it was much shorter and looked less used. It was still lethal and sharp, however, as he faced Strider again. After underestimating the archers skill with the blade, he wasn't going to take his opponent as lightly anymore and waited for Strider's move.
Stone came to a stop in the trees and looked back. He shook his mane and moved around the camp to find Strider.

~~~
Strider smiled and weaved his sword in a pattern. He sent a quick glance to the camp then suddenly struck out at the orc, aiming for his sword arm.
Draugnot turned around and ended up doing a full 180 degrees to see Strider and Orkhan still facing off. He could tell that Strider was occupied with his partner, and moved around in a slow circle so that he was behind the archer. When Strider looked towards the camp, he missed spotting Draugnot's attack as the orc had still been retrieving his arrows at the time. From his position behind Strider, he slung his bow back over his shoulder and detached the heavy iron mace from his belt of weapons. As Strider lunged forward to attack Orkhan, he swung the mace towards Strider's back.
Orkhan struck out at the same time, using his superior strength to knock Strider's blade harmlessly to the side. From his position, he could see Draugnot striking from behind so he jabbed his sword forward towards Strider's gut, aiming to puncture his stomach.
Strider used the momentum from his sword being pushed aside and was going to turn it into a spin attack, but caught the iron mace with his sword instead. Not expecting anything behind him he lost his sword and stumbled, falling back to the ground. He immediately tried to get back up, though he had no feeling in his arm from the force of the mace meeting his sword.
Draugnot drew his own sword with his right hand, holding the mace in his left, and jabbed the pointy end towards Strider's throat. "Don't move, humie," he growled in a warning tone as the tip of his blade grazed Strider's adams apple, not enough to even draw blood, but just enough to get his point across.
Orkhan grabbed Strider's fallen weapon and walked up from behind the archer's head, then stepped on Strider's left arm with a heavy boot to prevent him from leaping up right away. He wasn't a particularly light orc, and placed much of his weight on that one boot to inflict as much pain and discomfort as possible.
Strider froze as the sword came to bear on his throat. He looked up the blade at the orc and narrowed his eyes. He couldn't help but twist a little to the left when Orkhan stepped on his arm, but lay back quickly, still trying to get feeling to return to his right hand. He clenched his jaw to keep from calling out in pain, though he wanted to.
"Good humie..." Draugnot praised Strider mockingly, as though he was speaking to an animal. He jabbed the sword forward once again to further intimidate Strider as Orkhan pulled out a rope and began tying the archer's hands behind his back. Seeing that his right hand was weak for the moment, he grabbed Strider's left arm first and pulled his right in second, then began wrapping the rope securely around them. All the while, Draugnot remained in front of Strider with his sword positioned dangerously close to his throat.
Strider gritted his teeth, but didn't fight, knowing that he did not have any choice at the moment.
Rosa came galloping out of the trees, still half crazed from the pain and barreled into Draugnot.
Vorgak had to leap back away from the horses as Bayardo danced and kicked, not wanting to get clipped by the horses's hooves. But as the horses fled, he looked to where Mark had dragged the woman into the nearby undergrowth and he plunged after them, unsure exactly where they were hiding, but knew they had to be close.
One of Luella's rocks cracked Grishkah right in the face and the female orc staggered backwards, as much out of surprise that such a puny human could inflict harm as out of pain. She turned her attention on the girl as blood dripped from her nose. Not knowing the common tongue, she spit something harsh in orcish toward Luella as she took a menacing step toward her.
Ruby used the orc's distraction to lunge forward and slice at her arm that held the mace. She put as much strength as she could into the cut, then moved back again
Orkhan jerked the ropes tight as he finished securing Strider's hands behind his back. He was just about to let go when Rosa barreled out of the trees and careened into the unexpecting Draugnot.
Focused on Strider, Draugnot barely managed to face the horse as she ran straight into him. The force knocked him clean off his feet and sent both weapons flying from his hands. His heavy armour protected much of his body against her hooves and the impact itself, but left him winded and shocked, lying on the ground face up.
Equally as surprised as his partner, Orkhan took a couple of steps backwards away from Rosa dragging Strider with him.
