Loud duck breeds?

I am thinking about getting a few ducks (like 20 chickens aren't enough) and I am wondering about noise. I assume some breeds are louder than others, and I would like opinions from you duck addicts, oops, I mean owners. Although I live in the country, I'd like to avoid a super loud breed if possible. I am interested in laying or dual purpose breeds. Any thoughts?

So many breed are loud. I will tell you that muscovies are exceptionally quiet(they don't quack). Mine lay pretty well and are great table birds.

My female Rouen is as loud as my geese. The males, however, don't make much noise.

My khaki campbells are loud when they see food but otherwise they only talk quietly to each other. If they are woried about something they will quack a bit.

Call ducks (females) are very loud. My Scovies are very quiet. I have 2 khaki males and they are quiet too.

My female indian runner is very loud, constantly. On the other hand, we must have gotten lucky because my pekin is really pretty quiet.

I think that most ducks are pretty noisy at feeding time, but my mallards and pekin are super loud, kind of all the time. My swedes and KCs are pretty quiet.

Quote:Are Indian Runners usually loud? I want some but don't need the extra noise.
