"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I envy you nada when it comes to moving . We lived in Joyce for 5 years and looked here in Olla for 2 years to buy because my wife is from here . We closed on Christmas Eve and were
moving Christmas Day and had to be out by the 31st or pay another months rent , plus all the pre-moving arrangements one makes .We spent the night in our new home New Years Day .
Talk about wore out . It was my wife , daughter , son , and son -in-law , plus my crippled self and my angelic wife that I love dearly . All the people that said , oh yeah I'll help , we didn't ask anyone , they just volunteered , but were all no shows . Told Kathy that was it , I would die before I moved again ! Bless you . You had a month we had like 5 days and like to have never gotten the people out so we could move in .

I can't imagine having to move in 5 days. We have way too much stuff -- it just wouldn't happen.

Since we're just moving into our house next door I'm not in a big hurry. I've been moving things in and placing as much of it as possible as I go along so that I don't have much unpacking to do. Therefore, it is taking much longer than it should. The bad thing is that once we get settled we'll be moving again. Next time, I will hire movers to move all of the furniture.

Those are AWESOME pics! Your dog is very photogenic. Very good photography work too!

Thanks Twiley.... She was actually standing in the front of the boat I moved to the back of the front yard to use for the big Koi pond.It doesn't get water on the very front of it because the fish like to beach themselves...lol.. She is a HUGE water lover and it was the first time she got to see the boat with water in it and it was like HE77 YEA!!!! then she hit the end of the lead and was like sh!t... She was only allowed to sit on the (Bow???) so she decided to look over the fence out back and see what everyone else was doing hoping to take her mind off it...lol... Haven't figured out how I'm gonna keep her out of the ponds yet

He is such a handsome fella! My folks had Golden Retrievers for years & one in particular was an absolute water-loving fool -- every chance that she could get out she'd head straight to the bayou & come back just dripping with green scum & muddy -- whoa yeah! She was quite the character -- but Oh so joyful to be in water.

Twiley, how about those Texas Aggie football games. My sister graduated from there and I went to a football game and I was IN SHOCK when I heard about the Aggie "tradition" of standing up at the football games.

This is what she told me. (copy and paste from another source)

"Why are they all standing?"

Back in 1922, the Aggies were playing against Centre College and suffered so many injuries that head coach Dana X. Bible pulled a former player, E. King Gill, out of the stands and had him suit up in an injured player's uniform, standing ready on the sideline to enter the action if needed. Gill never entered the game, but the tradition of the "12th Man" was born. Now all students stand for the entire game to demonstrate their willingness to enter the game if necessary.

Neat tradition but I had to take a seat. I couldn't stand the entire game.

Good luck on the moving. Moving is a headache.
