"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Hello yardbird people I picked up 4 Americana's 1 buff sex link and 2 astrops last week in Covington . Hooray for me. Anyway why I chimed in here is about the catipiller sting thing I use emu oil which works get on all kinds of stings. Remember not to rub the sting you will only drive the stinging fibers in. Sorry I missed the swap in Covington . Maybe next time . Good day everyone

Well hi everyone!

Got back from a short vacation last night and couldn't get on until now. Liking all the pics of the chicks!

I actually might be able to go to the Baton Rouge show!

Not that I would have high quality birds to show. Lol

We get this magazine called "Urban Farm". In it they have a "chicken boot" kind of like what Siberian Huskies wear when sledding. Wouldn't that get in the way of their scratching? And what would the point of that be?

Anyway I'm tired, so see you guys tomorrow.

Could be fowl pox, is there anyway you can post pictures? I had an outbreak about 2 years ago with my birds and Kuntrygurl talked me through it. It's not going to be fun, I put iodine on my birds everyday for a week or so. But the good news is... Once they have had it, they can't get it again.

She hatched a couple of poults in a bush in the front yard. They were waiting for me when I returned home from work. She was teaching them how to eat grass. It was sooo cute to see them doing what she was doing. :)
