I've had hay in their nest boxes for two weeks now. You know what the little deviants do? Pick through it and use it as their toilet.
I changed it twice before saying to heck with it, but now that they are laying I switched the hay out and, lo and behold, they've left it alone!
I think that should be fine for the bunnies. As long as there isn't a draft and it isn't snowing or anything of the like, I think they will be fine.
They've got their lovely coats to keep them warm.

Obviously bad weather doesn't stop hungry raccoons from looking for a meal. I just lost 2 of my roosters - The "Picture of the Week" serama rooster Sal and my Japanese bantam boy Boss. From what I can gather the d*** thing opened two of the pens and the roosters sacrificed themselves so the girls could escape. They didn't stand a chance.
