"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Most things in nature make sense. My cat and dogs shed in the summer and build fur for the winter. BUT my poor chickens are molting on the coldest days. Jazzmine is molting the most. She still has some feathers on her back, but she is bare underneath and lost her tail feathers. I feel so sorry for her. I am lining her coop in fresh newspaper before she goes in at night to cut down on the dampness and ammonia. The coop doesn't get wind and the sides and back are covered, front not covered for ventilation. I hope her feathers grow out before the next hard cold snap. Her body feels warm and she's eating. She's okay, right? My first molt. Why in winter??

My pullets are in! 50 fluffy butts. I needed a few layers, got some extra if anyone is in need. Figured I would sell what I don't keep to help pay for what I do. They are sexed pullets, RIR and BR. Is $5 a chick too high for hatchery stock? I see people selling straight run for $3 and $4...

You can get $5 for sexed specific breeds this time a year, they'll move a bit slower so you may end up feeding them a lil while but they'll sell I bet.

I'd buy some if you were close!

I get 5/$25 from my extra CX meatie week olds and theu go fast.

Sexing isn't 100% but its usually close. Huge plus :)
I see $2 mixed breed layer chicks often and $5 pure breeds. You can always start at $5 and offer deals on more...or somethin. They get a *discount and are happy and you got close to what you want?

The Peeps have gone to Black Friday shopping or hung over from too much turkey. No post for 12 hours!! Well, I'm off to do week 2 of couch to 5K and then meeting a friend to see Book Thief and rummage through Urban Outfitters, just for fun. Happy Black Friday.

Anybody have ideas of what is useful to put in a military care package? I have a lot of room left in my box. This is what I have so far. Candy, raisins, nuts, beef jersey, tooth brush, paste, floss, soap, wash cloth, cards, comb. Any ideas I have more room in the boxes. Pam
Shampoo, conditioner, lotion

Foot powder for those boots. The day is better when your feet are happy!
