As far as I can remember, XW Barrs are just about the best in the country. Research his thread Weaver Rocks. They go back to a very famous line.Thank you!
That's good advice to practice. I will research dry hatch. I may not get a chance to practice. I really don't want to wait. Guess we'll find out in a month or so if there will be eggs available.
I got a reply from XW ranch on the barred rocks. In Spring, 50$ a dozen for the eggs plus shipping, 10$ a chick.
I want to hear something on the Dorkings before I commit to the rocks.
By the way I've been wanting to thank you again for the suggestion on the Ussary book " The Small Scale Poultry Flock". It's got great info. I've learned a lot. Right up my alley.
