And then i forgot to tell u what i have lol sorry!

We own an adult pair of white leghorn, 3 2 month old BR turkey poults, a quatro of silkie pullets, a trio of gold sex link pullets, and 9 barnyard mixed pullets. Most of our birds are just what people wanted to get rid of, as i am a rescuer at heart.

I sold some of the Cochin bantams that I knew I would not be needing for breeding or show and am left with a nice little group of bantams and large fowl (that are intended for meat). I guess we have spoiled this group just a bit. We give then mealworms and check on them. Since the brooder isn't quite done they are in bins inside. The LF have decided that if they are missing us or want worms they will just yell at us!!!! It is so funny. As soon as we show our face they just chick that little head and peep softly. Lol. No more worms spoiled babies.

I butchered my first of those crossed with the Malay that we have. I was very pleased with the amount of meat and the ease of breaking down the carcass.

Today I got the funniest egg ever! I nearly fell out laughing! That thing wouldn't even stay in the egg basket!!!

I told her not to even sing me an egg song for that little fart egg! Haha!

Some of my sweet favorites right now. 2 of these young pullets are already laying. And they are sassy enough that their boyfriend is kept at bay. I'm glad they are friends though.

We work in the garden here and there when it's not raining. I love plants that multiply. And this type of green onions are one of them. They are called Lisbon Bunching Onions. If you plant one little onion set it multiplies and you get 5-12 green onions from just just one. I usually just leave all the extras until the plants flower and die back. Soon after they all sprout again. So I pull the bog clusters up and divide them. This is what is left after re planting like 50-60 arrive the garden.

Although all the bantams hatched on their own the last one is a little squeaky runt. Poor babe has finally got the eating and drinking thing down though.

My favorite Cochin chick pose. If you pet their little tummy they drift off to sleep. And it helps them tame down also.

LOL i live in a neighborhood! My ghetto neighbors must cuss me from dawn til dusk... Until one of these days i cook em some chicken ;) how old are your roos? If theyre still edible , and not herritage birds, then i can say i can feed them to somebody lol

For real though im also interested in looking at herritiage birds, continuing lines in reptiles actually, is my passion and i def dont want to breed my barnyards, their just some gimmes, but i do want to do what little i can at supporting herritiage breeding so that soecies dont die out.
