Pam, that's great news the Barbs are laying. Yea, they are night and day compared to the Bieles' temperaments. They don't like to be handled at all. That is if I'm fast enough to grab one and then they scream and fuss and get the rest all riled up. I'd like to weigh and band soon. That will be real fun doing it by myself. Probably best approach will be to do it at night and take them off the roosts or try catching all of them over a few days time. If I could video I would.
Camping, I think I'll need a hood to go over their head to cover their eyes and something to lay them in while on the scales. This breed is fast and doesn't stand still for long.
Wish I could make them little jerseys, it will be a real chore to catch them just to see the numbers on the bands.
