Congrats on those chicks Paisaneaux!! It
is so addictive! DH and I decided we were going to hatch "just once" as a homeschool project for DD,.. it's now a family preoccupation
,.
But really,..after these two hatches are finished,.. were are through,..
for the year.
ya know,.. a BYC member sent us some eggs from New York for DD's exhibition Aussies that should have arrived 3 days ago,. they were "missent" according to Track and confirm,. to Pearl River,. so I thought,. OK,. they will be here tomorrow,. it's just 20 miles away,..
but the PO sent them to Covington,.
then across the Lake to New Orleans,..
then finally back to Lacombe,..,..talk about the scenic route! this is the second shipment from this Breeder,. that last package was so badly scrambled that the air cells looked like a lot of tiny bubbles and only 2 out of 12 were intact enough to develop,.. I haven't candled yet,. letting them rest now,..
Have any of ya'll had so much trouble with the PO??
Just last month they lost a batch of hatching eggs we were getting from Georgia,..
I am so sorry about your eggs! and to answer your question, I am getting more & more leery of the PO, esp. now they are saying they are going to close our main post office here & consolidate everything in Shreveport. I've had a couple of incidents similar to yours - air cells so scrambled nothing developed. Yesterday got a package with some barley malt yeast in it (attempting to recreate New York style bagels) and it had "Fragile" stamped on it with a big gaping hole right in the middle of the word. Accident or Intentional?
Good to see you posting LaMike!
