I think that sebbie is a Male Twiley. I know that the ssaddlebacks are a pair, but I don't know which is which without seeing their leg band. I actually don't even remember if I have caught them to leg band them yet.
And about the little ram. We will let him breed the girls when he is old enough. The problem is that he is the half brother to the girls. It is ok to breed them together, but he will have to go once the lambs get here so he doesn't breed his offspring. Any female lambs we get will stay with us, and ram lambs will be banded and kept for meat. I didn't want to go and spend a lot of money on REALLY nice stock until I knew that they would work out for us. So if all goes well, next year we will spend the money to buy a nice new ram for the flock. I think they will work great for us though. I was wondering how we were going to keep 5 acres mowed... ta da! Sheep!
Between the sheep and the geese you'll be in good shape. In fact, you may need to monitor your grass situation because both sheep and geese tend to clear the land of grass.
I will keep an eye on it. We have a couple of unused pastures right now, so it shouldn't be a problem. Our garden area is quite grown up, so I will put the sheep in there to do a little cleanup. I need to wire the gate in first though so the little ram doesn't escape.
I also plan on planting some rye grass this winter for everyone, so we should be in good shape!
I don't think I will be keeping more than 15 sebbies at a time. Any more than that and it just becomes work! I like to enjoy my animals, and you can't really do that when you get overloaded.
