I randomly came across this 1980's Russian film as it came up in my suggesting viewing on You Tube.… 'Love and Pigeons'.
It has some nice pigeons (fantails, rollers, high flyers) in it.. and an interesting pigeon house owned by the main character. Nice shots of the birds flying and performing at the beginning and end thirds of the film.
It was actually quite an entertaining film to watch.. how the culture was so different to the countries I have lived in. The film seemed really tacky at first, but as it progressed it's quite a nice funny film with interesting characters and I was surprised to find myself quite liking it. Anyway, it was interesting to see inside his loft and the birds too... and the cute trick of the doves drinking water out of his mouth, and the tumbler and high flying pigeons doing their performing... (but I will not be trying to kiss my homers as they don't love me and are bad tempered things, and will probably bite my mouth and give me a swollen lip!!)..
Someone on here might like the film to watch if they have some free time.
