Loving the chick life!

Oh they will, give them time (of course it would be nice not to have to)! Oh they're pecking you now! My Rhode Island chicks do that and they all grow up to be aggressive. Hopefully yours aren't going to grow up like that, though. That would defeat your purpose of having friend chickens! Let's see. Just give me an update on them whenever so I can judge their future behavior.

Sorry Franny, that was for Itokuzu! Ya, it's quite amazing how many she can hatch! A living incubator, huh? Buff Orpingtons are also good for brooding. All my Orpingtons are broody right now, just can't hatch this late in my area. You should give the breed a try! Not all will be broody, but, being big bodied birds, when they are they hatch dozens!

The one I'm fairly certain is a roo, and he does curious pecks, but when I hand feed them, he bites my fingers our bites the food(and my hand) harder than he should.

That would be good if he is a rooster. Does he have a small tail? That tells on some of mine. Like I said, he will be more alert than the other. I get 100% on my chick sexing that way. I give a test by throwing an object over the top of their brooder and see which one stands up and gives off a premature warning,
