Here's another website dedicated to buying American. They seem a bit like "flag wavers" to me, but there are extensive lists under multiple categories for American made items

http://www.madeinusa.org/

Now go spend your stimulus checks!

I buy Made in USA only. Especially food! Look at canned food - I used to love smoked oysters until I saw they were from oversea's - no! Do you know how hard it is to buy American wild shrimp? Most are from Thailand or Peru - very small area for American caught wild shrimp. Just because there are trade agreements doesn't mean we have to purchase products from those countries. IMHO

Do you do without buying anything at the grocery store?

50% of all fresh apples, applesauce and apple juice comes from fruit grown in China

Most wheat, soy, rice, garlic, additives and preservatives also com from China.

If you want to completely avoid Chinese made products you need to be aware of where your products' ingredients come from as well as where they are assembled/baked/etc.

Not only that, but grains that your chickens eat also comes from China.

If you are not 100% living off your land and not buying any food for you and/your your livestock, then you are eating Chinese made products.

Good luck in your Made in USA only quest!

This is exactly why I love to go to old rumage sales and yard sales with old stuff being sold. Like yesterday (Friday) I stopped at a yard sale about 4 miles from me and bought two plates one is a small serving plater (Made in USA) and the other a larger one (Homer Mclaughlin) Made in USA and I got both for $2. Then I seen an old metal strainer w/ handle, guess what, it was made in the USA, bought for $0.50. Then I seen an old hand chopper (looks like an Ulu? knife) made in USA for $0.50. Then my really good buy was and old snow shovel, stamped made in USA, I got for $3 to use in cleaning out my coop. So for $6 I got all Made in USA items. Start shopping the rummage sales and estate sales and yard sales. Only look for the items stamped Made in USA, you'll be surprised what you will find.

Barnyard Dawg, At least you could make that choice. I think alot of Chinese stuff is beautiful. But my choice is severely limited. It would not even be a thought if it weren't our government's trade practices that have severely overloaded our lives with items from one particular country. We should be giving every other country out there the same opportunity.

That is truly horrible. I'm sorry. I got upset with the pet food, then the lead in toys, and I have 3 grandchildren ages 5,6, and a newborn at the time!!!! I was terrified.

No, Justino. So what? Well, pets have died. Thousands or millions of toys were recalled because they were lead-toxic to kids. People died in other countries because the "Made in China" mouthwash was made with antifreeze. Cheap toothpaste in our dollar stores were made with antifreeze as well.
It's not about one shoe
