Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I am hatching some Lav and some Silver and some Wheaten Ameraucanas, I am hoping for some blue eggs. I am tired of just green. The pretty blue eggs go way to high for my wallet, so I am hoping to someday get good blue eggs out of some of these chicks.

I have Blues just starting up and my Lavs are babies, so since it took April's hatch 10 MONTHS to start laying I guess maybe they'll start before Christmas. LOL
Have more silver and lavender coming next month. Went in on a big order of day olds. I think I ordered 4 of each. Have to go back and check.
I love blue eggs. Was fun to get my first green one yesterday though.
Today so far I have another FBCM and a Game egg. Silly game climbed into the bag of shavings and laid in the bag. Two nest boxes sitting right there. I opened it up and asked what she was doing and she just kept scratching, so I let her be. Five minutes later I was digging an egg out of the bag. Guess the boxes weren't as cushy.

Wow I finaly finished reading everything!! I still need to put myself on the map but I have all ready got my name on the list and will be joining you guys for hatching. I'm going to try hatching some of my own eggs along with some turkeys. It will be my first time hatching my owne so I will get to find out if my two guys are doing there job. I have to say that i all ready have eggs in the bator all ready lol they will be hatching on the 5th of march lol .

Well we don't have as many hatchers YET for this hatch as for the NYD hatch... but hopefully it will pick up.

So many of you are just constant, never ending hatchaholics... I guess I would be too if I were on a farm, or had more room.

Well I am super excited! My black cochin trio started laying today! Whoot! So the WC polish, the cochins, and call ducks have all started. Crossing my fingers for the Buff Laced Polish for a spring hatch. I was starting to worry. So I started collecting to set in about a week. Yay! I candle the duck eggs Friday. I have no idea if my call duck eggs are even fertile. But I need to get these in and out in time for the Easter hatch!

Here is a picture of Elvis, he was very loud and proud about his lady laying an egg today.

I NEED a bigger incubator!

We are up to 94 hatchers. We need 30 more to even us out with the NYD hatch.
