I guess sticky. I'm trying to help the second one out now, but a little at a time.
I did candle some of what I locked down. I ended up pulling the 4 iffys. They quit maybe half way through. So I have 4 out, one stuck and 9 with nothing going on at all. Don't see movement either and I can tell in the light eggs that there is no internal pips and I don't see any movement. I think I went too high this time and drowned the rest.
None of my chicks were drying either. I have them in the brooder trying to dry them. Heck I'm thinking hair dryer.
I never want my lockdown humidity over 65% max. That (as you described) is what happens to me if I allow it.
Do you have any empty incubator? I keep one empty all the time (with no water), to use as a "recovery room," to put the wet chicks in to fluff up.
Good luck!
OH I do. Gonna plug it in now! Thanks Kathy. OH and I was thinking I had no one hatching from my BCMs and tried it higher this time, so going lower next time. These are all from my birds, so I wanted to try since it wasn't someone's eggs I bought or something. Just trying to get more BCMs to hatch, so testing. I have another hatch or two or three with my own eggs before I have shipped eggs to hatch out. As long as they are from mine I'm not as upset.
