I know we are in the middle of the hatch when I start dreaming eggs!

Neighbors came over last night and said they had watched a coyote, run along the south side of our property... along the fence where the coop and pens are. Lilly our dog has been barking out there this early AM...that's what woke me up. Lilly is also in heat so I'd hate the coyote to jump the fence and cause our GR Lilly to give birth to coy dogs.

... always something knew to worry about... I wish our dog had been spaid long ago... she is 7 years old for heck sakes.

So excited about CC's eggs coming this week. I showed DH the picture that she posted on the thread and got a ho-hum from him. He just doesn't understand at all

I plug in the turner on my bator today. On Lotsapaints advice, I have not been turning the turkey eggs for the first two days. Temp and humidity have been steady.
I think we are going to have some springlike weather this week. Today we have a 50% chance of rain/snow but by the end of the week we might see 60 degrees. Come on spring! The meadowlarks have been singing for a couple of weeks now and the bluebirds are coming back. I just hope the barn swallows come back and nest in the barn again this year. Love watching them raise a clutch or two of babies.
