I am hatching eggs for easter but I set mine on March 30th so I would have them a few days before Easter. I set 28 eggs. Easter Eggers, Cuckoo Marans, and Salmon Faverolles
Ok so real quick question! Went down to check the bator (humidity and temps) And noticed that the egg racks were flat (like the last times I have checked) So it dawned on me that we may have not turned on the auto turner
... Sure enough we didn't click the button to make the racks turn
... I set the eggs late sunday, how bad did I damage my hatch with them being in the bator but not being turned for 2 days????

You should be fine.. a lot of people don't turn for the first couple of days on purpose.. I have done it both ways and didn't really notice any difference.
That's the only thing I can think of is that the spot that they were in was hotter than my thermometer showed.. I have been toying with a brooder idea using flexwatt tape under a cement board on a thermostat... now I am definitely building it.. This will never happen again!!!

Well, I can go ahead and report 27 chicken eggs, but I should be getting and setting an unknown number of quail eggs today. Coturnix hatch in 17 days for me so I'm setting them today.
Let me know how many total....
My quail eggs came in and are happily settled in the incubator! I now have a grand total of 48 eggs set for the Easter Hatch.
She is a first timer, so I gave her 3 eggs.( she is a tiny little bantam mix) I have been taking her off the nest the past 3 nights and putting her on the roost, so today she is sitting on 9 extra large eggs ,that I took out from under her and only got pecked once.
