Well eleven out so far of the estimated 23 viable at last candling. I got my first EE babies and they are beautiful!

I have 44 so far. These are lavs, white, and black orps from Jody. I also have a few silkies, buff orps, and 3 that I don't know what, they had come with an order I had from 24 hour auction and are going to be a surprise. I think there is one BCM and 4 BLRW from my eggs. I am very pleased since I am usually lucky to get 2 from shipped eggs. I have 4 pheasant eggs that will take a few more days and there are still 2 pipped trying to get out but don't have lots of hope for them. My disappointment is no buckeyes, most of those went out when I candled.

SCG, I've never dealt with a skunk dead or alive, except passing dead ones on the road. I can't imagine how bad that smelled. I'm sure the groundhog will stay far, far away from the trap now! I can't help but think of caddyshack. I picture it laughinng and taunting you. LOL

Catwater, congrats on your 100% hatch...I guess you win or will be in the running for the best hatch rate! I've never had even close to such a good hatch rate. That's amazing.

Congrats to everyone else. And my little Shamo egg still isn't doing anything...

I don't think I'm eligible for the best hatch rate contest. I only set 7 eggs and I think you have to set 20 to be in the running for best hatch.

I have 1 duckling out with 5 or so more pips so far. I believe I have 30 eggs in there.
