Congratulations Chestnut ridge!!!
I am in the middle of my hatch last night I had 2 blue wyandottes and 3 white orps hatch. Sometime between last night and this morning I had 2 blue Birchen Marans hatch. I have 6 more blue Birchens eggs to go.
My broody hen on the patio hatched 6 olive eggs between yesterday and the day before. I found one squished flat as a pancake against the nestbox wall...poor thing! She decided to be mean to the last one that hatched yesterday and I took it out and put it in the bator with the others I am hatching so she has 4 chicks right now. Another hen decided to go broody and is in that same large nestbox with her sitting on I don't know how many eggs arrrgggg!!
Another Key West hen has gone broody!! Okay, that is 3 out of 4 of the KW hens I have that have gone broody this spring! The other 2 hatched a ton of chicks together a few weeks ago. I am beginning to think they are the broodiest hens on the planet!!
The duck on the patio is still sitting on her eggs. It really seems like they should of hatched by now? I know muscovies take 35 days but she was broody a few weeks before my hen that just hatched eggs. I wish I would of wrote down the date she started sitting. She is defending her nest so I'm not gonna touch it lol.
